Everyone is
welcome to worship at St Hugh & St John’s. Children, especially lively
children, are welcome at all of our services.
The main service is at 10 am and there is also a short communion service at
8.45 am
Service Details are:-
- Sundays at 8.45 Holy Communion
- Sundays at 10 am
- 1st Sunday of each month Family Service
- 2nd & 4th Sundays Family Communion
- 3rd Sunday 10.00 Morning Worship
- (5th Sundays 10.00 Family Communion)
Junior Church
Junior Church meets each Sunday from 10 am. in the
hall. We have 4 age groups, Bubbles 3-4, Splash 5-6,
Extreme 7-10 and Grid 11+
and older members of the Grid group also help in the younger groups.
We join together to sing, pray, hear about
any current news and events and learn something about the story. We then go into
our different groups to hear the story and for activities suitable for the
varying ages. Later in the service we join the congregation and with our parents
can go forward for a blessing or communion. Junior Church then goes to the front
of the church to tell the congregation what has been happening that day in
Junior Church and show anything we have made.
After the service we can join together in the hall for biscuits and squash (also
coffee and tea for anyone who wants it).
We hold Junior Church parties and join in other social events of the church,
such as the seaside trip in the summer.
Fund raising for other charities are also a part of Junior Church life and we
have recently sent money for Children overseas and Marie Curie Hospice Care.

Holiday Clubs
Junior Church holds Holiday Clubs each Easter, Summer and Christmas. The next
one is Easter, a three day event on
Tuesday25th, Wednesday 26th and Thursday 27th of March from 10 am. until
11.59 am. We have stories, songs and activities about Easter.
